My name is Jorge Eldis González & i'm an electrical and electronic engineering student, based in Panama City, Panama, currently working as a Network Support Engineer on MetroMPLS & Software Developer for external projects. I combine my interests to build and create applications & websites using new technologies, i also have broad knowledge on electronics field, circuit analysis, circuit design, network analysis, advanced mathematics & more!
Projects
The project presents the design, fabrication and validation of a low-cost, portable spectrophotometer for assessing MTV contamination. The design is described and the accuracy and reliability of the instrument is evaluated, offering an accessible and effective solution to evaluate the quality of viral transport media and, therefore, the accuracy of COVID-19 tests. In addition, tests with different contaminated and uncontaminated MTVs are presented where the difference in absorbance at different wavelengths is observed. This work is my final degree work, which won first place in the category of Health Sciences Engineering for the Jornada de Iniciación Cientifica at the Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá.
The goal of cyberthenics is to encourage people to start working out without any equipment, and what better way to do this than with calisthenics! This app has a "game" theme that helps you progress by reaching new levels and completing new skills, we gather as much information as possible to know what is the best way to be motivated while working out, and many people told us the best way was to upgrade "levels and skills", so that's why we do it! It's available on web, and can be exported as an app for android, windows, ios & mac, make sure to click the title for more information.
This project is about a calculator for all the students in a STEM career, it has aritmethic, trigonometry, geometry, algebra, statistics, matrices, plotting and calculus! It only needs 3 packages before installing the calculator. This project right now has over 70K downloads and it's used worldwide by engineers and students, my goal is to make this calculator the most powerful for python & it's updating every month! Make sure to give it a go and test the functions! You can also write on the github page any bugs or problems. It's available on pip3 for python: pip3 install stoacalculator. Stoa Community is a community i created, where the goal of this community is to help the programmers, engineers, physicist, and all those who work in the STEM field, with courses, step by step projects, posts, books, papers, games and so much more, the topics i'll be discussing in this website are for example technology, engineering, ethical hacking, coding, electronics & mathematics! Experience
MetroMPLS is a company that offers data transport services, using SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) technology and Metro Ethernet, which allows us to deliver multiple telecommunications services. I started working as an internship for my career and then i got hired, currently working since May 2023, i learned a lot about networking, troubleshooting & analizing traffic, i learned how to configure access points, switches, firewalls, and more, i also learned how to use the CLI and learned more of the interface & syntaxis of models like CTC, Juniper, Zykel, Fortinet and more. I’ve worked on numerous projects, repaired nearly every electronic device that was feasible to fix, and designed PCBs for various ideas I developed. One of my most significant projects involved replicating the full electrical installation of a house.
In my free time, I create step-by-step guides for projects on Instructables.com, complete with schematics and detailed instructions. Feel free to check them out here: My Instructables Profile.
During my college studies, I began teaching myself programming, focusing on areas such as AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Big Data. Ive built a strong foundation in IT, with additional knowledge in Cybersecurity, Networking, and Ethical Hacking. My main expertise lies in Python and Flutter, and I also have experience with JavaScript, C++, and C#. My goal is to develop a comprehensive understanding of programming and problem-solving through algorithms.
